Cardiff IAM Summer Family Get Together Preceded With A Car Treasure Hunt

Hello everyone

Come and join the Cardiff IAM summer Social Event on 8th June 2019. We’re organising a summer family get together preceded with a car treasure hunt ending up with a picnic and barbeque. We hope you will come to one or both events and feel free to bring your family along. It should be a lot of fun.

  Car Treasure Hunt

  • Simply turn up at Castell Coch at 10.30am. We shall start from within the Castell grounds in the lower car park (enter through the Castell gateway up the drive and we shall be on your left). Last car will be around 11.15am.

  • Obtain your treasure hunt clues from Jonathan or Dee – bring a pen!

  • Follow the clues to end up at our picnic/BBQ event venue – stay if you can for the picnic/BBQ  (see details below)

  • There is no charge for this event.

    Picnic/Barbeque

  • We shall gather at Cosmeston Country Park near Penarth at 1pm

  • Please bring your own food, drink and entertainments (Cardiff IAM will only provide a few condiments and plates, cups, napkins and cutlery) – food can be something you cook yourself or a family picnic – it’s up to you.

  • We shall provide barbeques to allow you to cook your own food (separate BBQs will be available for meat, vegetarian , vegan and if needed gluten free food)

  • For those looking for things to do there is a great Medieval Village at Cosmeston that you can incorporate into you visit here or a long stroll round the lakes. Feel free to bring your own ball games. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

  • There is no charge for this event and the entrance to the park is free.

It would be handy to let us know if you intend to come and to let us know which event you will attend (or both). If would be also useful to know if you think you might bring food to cook (and if veggie, vegan, gluten free or meat) or a picnic so we know how many BBQs to light up and get ready!

Please email membership@cardiffiam.co.uk by 5th June so we can get the necessary items bought and have enough clues copied for the number of cars taking part.

We hope you will join us, the last barbeque was a great success and proved popular. All we need is some fine weather!
